Ethiopia's Bekele claims 2nd gold medal !!!
As her compatriot Dibaba, Bekele gets Olympic long-distance double.

Kenenisa Bekele of Ethiopia was masterful this evening in the men's 5,000-metre race crossing the line in 12:57.82.

Bekele took over from his teammates with 2 kilometers to impose an icredible pace. He won refreshing the 24-year-old Olympic record created by Morocco's Said Aouita at Los Angeles Games.

Kenya's Eliud Kipchoge took silver in a time of 13:02.80. Edwin Soi of Kenya won bronze in 13:06.22.

Holding the two World Records of these distances, Bekele showed the world he is the best runner of the long distance races.

Bekele became the seventh man in Olympic history to claim the double.

*Athletics (Women), 1500m, final : One more medal for Kenya! Jebet Nancy Langat (KEN) wins the race in a great sprint (4:00.23).
*Athletics (Men), 800m, final : 3 medals for Africa! Wilfred Bungei (KEN) wins gold medal (1:44.55), Ismail Ahmed Ismail (SUD) gets silver (1:44.70) and Alfred Kirwa Yeg (KEN) wins bronze (1:44.82). It's the first medal for Sudan!
*Football (Men), final : The Nigeria lost in the final against Argentina 1-0. Nigeria wins the silver medal !
*Taekwondo (Men), +80kg : The Malian and World Champion, Daba Modibo Keita won his first fight against the French Borot. Score : 6-5.
